New message alerts no sound

Greetings
I've alledgedly converted my new text message audio to ACC then renamed it as required and for a total newbi even managed to cyberduck the file to the appropriate folder on my new toy....But....no noise nada nothing zilch...

cyberduck says it has to replace a file so I say yes but nothing happens when I select the file

I a true wingnutt😕

Any suggestions would be truely appreciate

2days of *@#$% around

and finaly figured out what wrong

Itunes was/did not convert to aiff even though it said it was and labeled the file as such....there fore when changing to .caf it didn't work and all I got was silence

Soooooo i used switch out of frusration and ureka I a very happy camper

I hope this is of some use to others
