Hi Guys,

I posted a bit earlier that Entourage didn't seem to be synchronising with my iCal calendars but that it was successful in syncing with Address Book. Has anyone else had problems syncing iCal with the updated Entourage or is it only me that is having issues here?

OK, forget all this. Looks like I was expecting too much from this feature and what has been implemented does work. I had been expecting that all my entries in my iCal calendars (about 10 calendars) would be replicated in Entourage as well. In reality it appears that Entourage simply creates a new calendar in iCal (called "Entourage") that contains all entries made in Entourage's calendar. Tests show that adding entries to a Project does not, unfortunately, result in a new calendar created in iCal and no import of existing calendars appears possible.

Better than nothing but a bit of a "ho hum" moment for me unless someone can see something that I'm doing wrong.

Microsoft: The only company I know that sells EVERY product pre-broken. IF it wasn't for Excel, I know I'd dump the whole app. But no, I am stuck using the damn thing. On my 800 workstations with upwards of 100 different apps here and there, Office is by far the biggest pile of crap I own. More time is spent dumping prefs, rebuilding permissions, etc. for just Powerpoint than all the time I spend on 31 Servers.
Hell, even OS9 apps running in classic are less bother.
And 57MB for the update?!!? Know why? Here's why:

We're working constantly on new features for Messenger:Mac. A/V support is one of the potential new features under consideration, but we don't have anything to announce at this time.

Regards,
Nadyne.

Thanks, clayj. I'm going to try downloading the Messenger update and see if I have more luck with it now. Currently it keeps disconnecting all the time, while AdiumX is behaving much better.

A/V support in Messenger would be enough to tempt me away from Adium. I didn't get on with aMSN or Mercury.

That FAQ that you quoted from has been up on Mactopia since 30 January (which you can see at the bottom of the page). At Macworld, we announced that we announced that we are actively working on the next version of Office:Mac.

Thanks -- I guess I don't read your website on a daily basis. ;)

In any event, keep up the good work on Office...whichever direction it leads you in. :)
