I received very good service from TEKQ UK when I had one of my drives do the same. They sent me a brand new one, from Taiwan I believe, and there were no questions asked.

"Hi please return the SSD Drive and cable back to us by the address as attached image.
Once we have received the SSD and Cable, we will send to you a good one. "

Well, heck, maybe my email will find the right person. We had a couple of items crap out of us, brought purchased through Amazon, and it was terrific, they were replaced (one within like a week of the 1 year warranty), with only a couple of exchanged, but vendors selling through Amazon gives you pretty good leverage.

I'm afraid an Ebay purchase, factory sealed or not, may be considered a gray market channel (vs. Amazon or direct). I'll update if I get any response :)

So I sent that email (per above), Feb 11, ~7p EST (I realize time is important since they may be fielding CS communication on an opposite clock ...), and then Feb 12, at ~12p, I sent a communication through FB Messenger (no FB active, but I kept Messenger, er, for as much as they're a separate thing). As I mentioned, the email was posted by the TEKQ.US FB account - funny enough to a guy on Jan 6th asking about an issue on his MBP - so figured that was current, and certainly, if you're using FB at all, I should at some point at least see a "read" status on my Messenger communication (none as of yet).

I ordered a Sabret 1TB Rocket, $139 delivered (which will be today), since I figured these are my options / outcomes:

1) They never respond or respond with a "No can do", the enclosure still works, for ~$295 I have a fast, external TB3 drive, vs. my previous DIY I was going to do (i.e., small capacity TEKQ + Sabrent), call it about $30-40 more

2) Same, but exclosure actually doesn't work, and the SSD stick does, I've got 2TB of SSD, just need a case, maybe I get one that holds 2-4 sticks :) Only out the enclosure (obv. I'd need another enclosure 1st to confirm this)

3) Nothing works with the TEKQ, I'm out ~$150, oh well, that's not a blip in the grand scheme of things (even though I tend to be frugal)

4) They actually _do_ come back, I return the entire drive, it gets replaced, I get another enclosure in the interim, I've got all sorts of external drives, hahaha :D

Sabrent delivered, installed, and prep'ed in about 10 minutes :)

So I guess I should edit my options/outcomes above, since the enclosure does work. So I guess at this point I get it replaced, score another enclosure and wind up with two (cool), or they never respond / say no, and I've got a nice 1TB drive (almost as cool :D)

Well, how about that ... they did finally reply! o_O

Specifically the contact from above, read my Messenger and replied via email, and it sounds like they'd be up for replacing it. I just have to ship it to Taiwan, so ... I guess I'll think about it, I did swap the drive, so I'd need to swap it back, ship it (~$40 USPS to their postal), about 12-20 days shipping duration (assuming their package returns at the same speed). Plus, I'd want to get my Sabrent back up and running, so I'd be into another enclosure in the interim.

Hmmm ....
