I just bought a refurb 2.26 Mini. I currently have a 1.83gHz Core Duo mini. I have Carbon Copy Cloner and an external firewire hard drive. Can I just load a clone image from my old Mini to the new one, or will all the new hardware cause problems? I've been debating on trying that or just starting from scratch. Basically, I'm lazy and trying to avoid reloading all my data and apps on the new machine. Of course, even if I do that, I will have to load some apps as I have iLife 06 on the old Mini, and I would like to use iLife 09 on the new one.

It's up to you to decide if it's worth doing a fresh install, but cloning or using Migration Assistant will work flawlessly.
