I am getting a new Mac Mini delivered this week and want to use a Bt wireless keyboard.

Can I run the OS install with the keyboard or need to find a USB keyboard during the install of the OS

I had issues with trying that with only the Bluetooth keyboard so I got a cheap wired one and have it handy just in case for my MacMini. They are not expensive anymore

Not expensive is correct, especially if you check out the thrift stores, $2-$5...

I agree with talmy, you can do it with a Bt keyboard. It is great to have USB devices as backups but I did it with bluetooth only.

You did not mention your mouse or pointing device. What do you plan to use?

When I had a problem during installation I simply switched my pairing order. Instead of connecting the keyboard first I tried the Magic Trackpad and it worked. Then with the trackpad paired, the keyboard connected with no issues. :)

Thanks,

I am using a trackball, as I will install Lightroom and Photoshop, for photo editing
