Apple appears to have updated the MobileMe login page this morning with a new image of the MobileMe cloud in front of the iPhone and iPad. The new image only appears when you visit Me.com from Firefox, but only for some people. It shows a very iOS-focus for Apple's MobileMe service which has been rumored to be getting a revamp.

Meanwhile, Apple has just closed the online Apple Store ahead of the iPad 2 media event scheduled for today.

I'm actually pretty excited about MobileMe. Can't wait for the announcement.

What? This was there before, at least in Chrome. And I see it in Chrome now, not just Firefox.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

cool, store down may mean an ipad 2 preorder situation right after the event

yeah it shows up with safari. i see it now. so i dont know what they mean by only firefox.

At any rate I can't wait to see what Apple offers. Currently MobileMe just isn't enticing enough of a service for most people (myself included) to utilise. Hopefully they'll release something good!

sorry. this is old. I've pulled the story
