Calling the New Macbook Pro "Late MBP" to differentiate it is asinine. Instead why don't we refer to it as the uni-MBP or UMBP or some variation. I mean its the first macbook pro to have the uni-body construction so why not?

You mean asinine, like people who start new repetitive threads without searching first to see if there aren't already a few dozen active threads on the topic?

You mean pitiful like the one's days spent wasting away to acquire such knowledge.

I searched name and didn't see anything so sorry I am ignorant of the fact I don't know about other threads. Furthermore if i dont type in the specific phrase of the thread that contains the topic (which is unbeknown to me at the time) i am posting (i.e. glassbook) about how am I to know if doesn't exist?

oh and glassbook is already the macbook's name don't we need to make ourselves a little more different or special (better :D)

I was wondering, and this most likely a very dumb question, but what is the name of the processor in the late 08 MBP? We could always go off that name...unless it's the same as the previous gen. My current MBP is referred to as the "Penryn" one and I believe the old one was the Santa Rosa.

MRoogle is a useful google based search of MacRumors which works far more efficiently. :)

well, it kind of comes natural to me that it should be called glassbook pro... :)

This isn't much of an issue at all, just refer to it as Late-2008 MacBook Pro or something like that. No need to get all technical with the name with unibody and stuff like that, just something simple that everybody will know what you are talking about.

I really really dislike the term 'glassbook'. Makes me cringe when I hear it.

What's wrong with just macbook pro? If you're specifically mentioning the new ones, Macbook Pro unibody or MBP-u for short if you must.
