Although you have 6,578 posts, you don't have the right to post useless, rude comments. This is a discussion on what the name of the late 2008 MBP should be, not whether or not you care.

Stating "who cares" is neither rude nor useless. It represents an opinion, which ALL of us are entitled to, as long as we're not attacking someone personally, which you just did.

Calling the New Macbook Pro "Late MBP" to differentiate it is asinine. Instead why don't we refer to it as the uni-MBP or UMBP or some variation. I mean its the first macbook pro to have the uni-body construction so why not?

Oddly, if your had searched the forums you might have noticed that some people have been coining those phrase already... let me see... you thought you was brining something new, exciting and almost cleaver to the board? hahaha

Going names on were MBP Brick, LateMBP, Brick, Glassy, UMBP, Unibody MBP, UniMBP...

Seriously, why should we follow a single name?
It's a forum where people can express themselves, not some regiment in the army!! Please feel free to use any name you'd like to express the product, don't become a troll!

Personally I like "Glassy" and "GlassyPro" it's the only one's using glass and it describes the look of the screen when switch off.

Glass is no good

Glass is a material that shatters when you drop it. It's fragile. It's really the opposite direction of where the structural improvements of the new MBP are going. I think that given that it's a current generation product, when we say MBP, that's what we are talking about. The last generation should get the extra designation of Macbook Pro Classic....
