I agree, looks great. I just ordered this color and I'm happy I did now. Looks even better then in the stock photos
...any chance you can take a photo outside in natural daylight, of the Midnight Blue strap vs the Obsidian one, just to do a side by side comparison of the colours?!
I was going to get the blue/obsidian along with the Vapormax, got the shoes but not the strap.
I just can't get myself to wear anything other than the link bracelet on my SB watch.
I do wear a sport to work but my black sport band is suffice for that.

I made some comparisons. Midnight blue vs. Obsedian. Latter is more blue and IMO looks stunning on black (SS) watch. Especially because of the black accents on the band. O my silver SS watch I prefer the anthracite Nike band.

So it seems I am correct about my assumptions - Obsidian and Midnight blue are 100% identical.
Would have been nice if the Nike 'tick' logo was on the front of the band, just to make it noticeable that it is in fact a Nike band...........
No your assumption is NOT correct. If I would describe Midnight blue as a tad darker, where Obsedian is a bit brighter blue. But again from a distance it is hard to see.....
To be honest I am glad the Nike loggo is inside. I would not be pleased to see it in combination with my Hermes SS
The obsidian is NOT identical to the midnight blue, I find the midnight a bit of a duller blue. Lighter even. The Nike band actually has a tad of purple in it, slight but it's there.
Pretty stable so far but definitely a battery drain.
My contribution to the stream of pics - series 0 Space Gray Sport, outside, shortly before sunset, but quite cloudy. In real life, the blue feels just a touch darker and more saturated than this, but all in all, pretty close to how they actually look to me. From three feet away in daylight, the violet is subtle, the blue is more bold (and the rainbow is fabulous!).

...gotta say - that blue band really 'pops' against the Space Grey watch! Looks gorgeous!!
what are you outfits like, do you color coordinate a lot? most of the time, i'm lazy and just wear my black band.

I honestly don’t think the orbit blue is that bright. The first blue band apple released was bright that one collects dust with me.
