Does anyone use the Nike+ app on Apple Watch? Prior to the update to Nike Run Club, the app would track pace, distance, and GPS data (naturally, assuming the iPhone was present), providing a map of the route. The new app is not GPS tracking if I start the run from my Watch. I've checked all of the settings and I've checked around, but can't find anything. There's also an increase delay on wrist raise while the Watch app catches up and provides an accurate distance reading.

Is anyone else experiencing the same frustrations with Nike Run Club on Apple Watch?

It seems to be a bit of a mess. Mine seems to be GPS tracking OK when I start a run from the watch, but it's still showing pace in miles when I've change the metrics to kms (and showing distance in kms on the Watch). Pause / auto pause seems to be a bit all over the place as well. It's almost as it the watch and phone are running independently and messing each other up.

Disappointing, as I was pretty excited when the update first came through...

I have always used Niki+ running on my iPhone only as a backup recording while also running Workout on my :apple:Watch (also use a Garmin 620 as my primary run recorder). I tried Niki+ on my :apple:Watch and it froze up about ½ through my run. I had to restart my :apple:Watch. I'm back to the iPhone only method until after wOS 3 release and Nike makes a much needed bug update.

Un-install the app, clear Safari, restart the phone and re-download the App. That's what Nike normally recommend.

I've now given up on Nike.

Thanks to this forum I used a neat little app called RunGap to download my 4 years worth of runs recorded from various Nike devices and transfer them over to Strava.

Went for my first run with Strava this morning and was very impressed. The Apple Watch implementation is in my view way better than any of the other apps I've tried - it is much less laggy and shows you exactly what I want: pace, time, distance and heart rate. The info on the iPhone after is also good - maps, splits, heart rate etc - and the social network element isn't bad either, especially has I have more friends on Strava than Nike it appears.

Bye Nike - way to lose a loyal customer of 4 years!

For those that use the Workout app to track runs, do you find that the GPS is accurate? I did an 11.6 mile run the other day. I used Workout and my friend used Nike+ on the iPhone. I barely registered 11 through my Watch, while they had us at 11.6. I don't know which one to believe. I always have my iPhone with me, but Workout seems to vary greatly with distance tracking.

Yes, the iPhone Nike+ iPhone app usually is very close to my Garmin 620.

You need to offer more info. Did you JUST use your :apple:Watch or did you carry your iPhone? If you did carry it then it is off a little but 5% is within the realm and there may be other slight differences.

I thought the Workout app was significantly "off" (even when carrying my iPhone) when I first got my watch, which is one of the reasons I didn't persist with it for running.

I decided to download it to see the changes -- it's been years since I used the Nike+ app for running. I'm not able to determine if they support intervals. Does anyone know? I signed up for a plan but although there are speed runs integrated throughout the weekly workouts, I don't see any option for setting intervals otherwise.
