Hi guys,

I have just discovered the major feature cut in new iWork Numbers:

Search doesn't show you list of results anymore, - there is just one field with number of total hits.

So, if you are like me and have some same information (e.g. Catalog Number) on
different sheets, you can not just pick the result from the particular sheet anymore!

Now you need to click right or left until you reach required sheet! This is a major hit on my productivity....

Very sad, Apple.

Table categories also removed.

Sorry, which ones do you mean?

One more major drawback: you can not see the page layout in Numbers inspector.

In order to get the correct PDF out of your Numbers document you need to "print it as pdf"... Like in prehistoric times.

Can't drag to copy

We also lost the ability to highlight a cell, or group of cell and grab the black cross to drag and copy. WHY would they take that away. I know I can copy many other ways, but when, for example I wanted to create a range of increasing dates, I could enter the first date, highlight the cell, grab the black cross and drag down and all cells would be one day later than the succeeding cell...why eliminate that? I used that ALL the time...

I'll probably go back to Excel. Damn it Apple! Hate you for this!!

Pop Up Menus Changed

I use Numbers as my checkbook registry and have used pop up menus for my expense catergories (gas, food, bills, etc.). And up until the recent update I could navigate to the cell with the pop up menu and hit the space bar and the menu would drop down and then I could arrow down and select the catergory. Now after the update I hit the space bar and nothing happens, I have the use the trackpad to click on the drop down arrow and choose the catergory with the mouse.

What gives?

Just opened the new version for the first time.

Christ it's flipping horrible. WTF are they thinking?

I guess it has to follow the fisher-price look if iOS app,s but god I might go back to 09.

Categorize by…gone

Can't believe "categorize by" is gone. The smartest part of numbers . No backsies unless rollback to 10.8

For those who don't know "categorize by" was an awesome feature that allowed you to quickly create menus within your spreedsheet. Hard to explain see here:

I've always kept copies of important documents in open formats. Unfortunately my weariness has once again paid off.

If they was a clear warning of essential feature loss then please disregard the following:
How does apple expect people to trust their marginal format, especially for business if you open your spreadsheet and get this?

Another thing lost is the ability to sort rows of information. It is all or nothing. I now have to copy the part of the spreadsheet I want to sort into another spreadsheet, do the sort there and then paste back into the original spreadsheet.

If only I could revert to previous version.

Biggest pet peeve for me is they took out the ability to select multiple cells and right-click "clear contents". At least I can't find it. Instead what it does is remove everything. Not just the numbers or text. It removes the background color etc.
