not sure if i can recommend it...

windows performance index reports 7.2 score... compared to the 305.53 drivers @ 7.3 score

----------

btw, was playing prototype with it, noticed the flying particles on event portals are missing using this driver...

How about playing a game before saying this! Most games run maxed at 1920x1200 some run very high or maxed at 2880x1800. Just because you think you know what you're talking about, or don't know how to tweak doesn't mean you are right. I have been using my rMBP as my main gaming machine since I got it with NO problems.

----------

lol good luck playing anything decent at those resolutions

There are many games that run perfectly at that resolution. I'm currently playing Dark Souls at 2880x1800.

I do know what I'm talking about. Games can be played at that resolution but most high intensive games wont run well at all(the video I showed proved that). Unless you lower all the graphics settings. And what are your graphic/detail settings and FPS? Post a video showing us how "dumb" we all are. I dare you to try and run The Witcher 2 at that resolution.

Well, it's different from game to game. The bf3 video that showed 40-ish fps for 1080p had it on auto which looked like to be a mix of medium and low settings.

A game like dark souls is not as taxing because it's only upscaled. The port was not well done because it actually runs as a 1024x78 game

I forgot about that. The game only runs at 720p lol.

Guild Wars 2 performance has clearly increased. Getting around 40+ fps, 1920x1200 high settings, the game looks stunning.

the Witcher doesn't run 100% on massively beefy machines. But it will run extremely well with the right settings. But no, not at native res. MANY games do run well at native.

what do you mean?

Most games support 2880x1800

He means anything in windows looks blurry, because the pixel density of the screen is to high for the resolution it's displaying. So any resolution below 2880 * 1800 looks blurry.

The problem is that windows unlike Mac OS doesn't support pixel scaling i.e.:
Using the monitor at a 1440 * 900 resolution with everything in windows scaled up. This would be ideal but you can bet your ass nor apple or microsoft are going to put in the effort to make this work on the rMBP.

Even the drivers provided in bootcamp are somewhat the bare minimun, apple really doesn't feel like making the windows experience better than on Mac OS X which in terms of company value makes sense I guess.

Sure with low settings.

You don't seem to understand that games do not need to be played at the full resolution of 2880 * 1800, games look more than well beyond what is considered good quality at 1920 * 1200.

If I get the option to play at 2880 * 1800 this is fine, and I welcome it. But this doesn't mean I am required too... I can play at 1920 * 1200 too, but then I can crank up the settings alot more.
