I wish this new Opera on iOS could import all of my currently open tabs in Safari (iOS). I have 497 tabs "open" in Safari at the moment and would love to see what Opera would make of them all. The limit in Safari iOS is 500 which is the reason I only have 497 open at the moment. 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️
Mom? Is that you?

someone explain the headline to me like I'm five:

how tf does Opera adding better tab management to its browser help "end Safari tab management woes"?
That sentence is using a common rhetorical construct in English, where the author was using interpretive framing. Whereas your question used hyperbolic framing in an attempt to appear clever.

Yikes. And also, wow! I can't imagine trying to keep track of what is open where with 497 tabs. You're way more dedicated to your browser than I am. I think the most tabs I've ever had open at once was in the low 30s.
With a good search facility (enough to index the URL and Tab Title), you don't need to keep track of much. Just look it up! On my laptop, I stopped using Tab Groups, too much hassle. I just search in a single tab heap, very quick!

Glad to know I got a reaction out of you, Dan.

I would argue that the headline is complete nonsense that requires the reader to interpret it in a way that is different from its literal and common meanings.

Lastly, I just to say that I greatly enjoyed the irony of your use of academic jargon in your dismissal of my cleverness. Well played.

I guess... It's 72% owned by Kunlun Tech and Zhou Yahui (their CEO) lives, by all accounts, in Beijing and is a Chinese citizen.

It doesn't bother me either way...I'm not scared of China and their companies like everyone else here seems to be. They are also on the US NASDAQ.
I agree with you, nothing to be scared about. it seems like anytime Opera is mentioned all the crazy China conspiracists come out of the wood work trying to scare people. Instead of listening to these people, read what Opera had to say about this smear campaign and judge for yourself: https://blogs.opera.com/security/2023/07/debunking-spyware-misinformation/
