New or old bootrom?

Forgive me for being so ignorant, but how can I tell whether I have a new or old bootrom? I would like to jailbreak my phone, but do not know whether I have the new or old one.

Thanks, but my 3GS does not have the "Device Instance Path?" It has Device Instance ID, but that doesn't show the bootrom. Sorry, but do you have any tips?
