New or refurb Classic?

I've considered purchasing a Classic for some time (my 5th gen is dead) and was curious to know if it made sense to look into the "seller refurbished" units on eBay. $249 is a lot of coin to drop on an old, but useful, piece of tech. It seems unlikely that Apple will drop the price on it anytime soon - they'll probably drop the model altogether!

I found a couple of sellers that have a 100% (or close to it) rating with Classics in sizes ranging from 80GB to 240GB. Prices hover somewhere between $130 and $180.

Is it worth the savings to pick one of these up from an eBay seller? Or, should I just bite the bullet and pay the $249 to Apple?

Looking forward to hearing your advice

New iPOD classic is not upto the mark..
    and produces less quality sound
try buying iPOD calssic 5/6/6.5 gen before 2010.

and now spending money on new classic is not wise...
try for some descent used one....
get the new 7gen iPOD nano.

This is my recommendation, as well.
