New Painting Process Solving White iPhone 4 Problems?

They should do a "Product RED" one!
ive been waiting on that one since they first introduced the iphone, so last night i decided to order a red skin at gelaskins, to at least have it look a little bit like a iphone RED
Is there actually anyone out there still waiting for the white iPhone 4? That would be the saddest.
I don't get the whole white front thing. The screen on the iPhone 4 is a high quality IPS display, which is much darker black when turned off than previous models. It blends in nicely with the jet black front. I wish Apple would offer more colors like the Nano, but I would only want them on the back. But then again I'd probably just cover it up with a case.

The MacBook was white plastic. The white iPhone is glass with the inside of the glass painted white. different materials and construction.
Although I suppose it's quite possible that even then it could discolor.
The millions of people buying them even now as we speak and even up to the iP5 launch date.
Anyone who has seen a Japanese car (one built and sold in Japan, not overseas) knows that the painting techniques are first-rate. Even economy cars have mirror-like paint jobs.
Yes, obviously the fact that the MacBook is plastic means it stains a lot easier, but white just shows dirt so much more. The only time it's ever going to look clean is right after you wipe it down.
That's funny, the thing I always disliked about the white iPhone was the fact that it didn't have white on the front. It just felt it gave the phone a feeling of being cheap. Like an old Sony phone that I had with interchangeable coloured plastic covers.
If only there were another 'miracle' where they could magically have the face be seamlessly white, without the backlight being on!
What difference does it make what it's called? There will still be a new model. Any talk in the forums about the iPhone 5 refers to that model, regardless of what Apple ends up calling it.
One thing is for sure... Once the White iPhone is finally released, a great number of the people buying one will be looking over the thing with a magnifying glass and we'll see thread after thread from folks that think they see defects, real or imagined.

how is this news? mobile repair companies have been color swapping to white for months now. at least in san diego they have.
Still waiting for the entire front surface to be LCD/OLED, so we can customize the front plate however we want.

they have those 'mirror' screen protectors. and white tinting exists so i imagine you could go to any company that makes vinyl tints and get one made. the only issue would be thickness.
I don't know why so many people care about the white iPhone 4 that hasn't been released yet. Black is way better/sleeker/sexier/professional than the white color.
Let's just hope the same factors that cause discoloration that developed in some of the white MacBooks doesn't rear its ugly head again...
If it makes you feel any better, my iBook did the same thing.
