New PALM OS Treos confirmed!

Looks like the Treo 700p is going to happen. Palm said it will roll out 3 new Treo's this coming year (2006). This is good news as my contract is up next year😀 I think we can count on the 700p running palm os, hopefully at least 2/3 will also run palm os, and maybe one will be a nice flip phone!

The 700w? That's old. The article I linked to speculates 2 will be palm OS based.

the clie is the way to go...to bad they're only sold in japan now...

my clie tg-50 is lovely, and even though i bought it last year, its processor speed still surpasses more than 90% of other paln pilots.

Clie would be cool, if it had a phone built in, afaik, they're just a stand alone PDA, not useful to carry both, and enter a phone number twice.

I had a clie (T series; I forget now; guess I still have it in a drawer somewhere); a great piece of engineering with a wonderful high res screen; great battery life and reliability; too bad I was not willing to carry it and a phone. In retrospect, it may have been the last great Sony product (save possibly the PSP). Now I have a treo 600; much less screen resolution, too thick; the IR is useless, etc; but it is one device and it does the trick.

hopefully cingular carries it, and they give a killer discount like they did on the razr. i may get one then, im out of contract now, but i can wait to get that sweet phone.
