So Podcasts are a big part of my work day. I listen to them all day long at work. One thing I have noticed with this new Podcast App is that I am constantly listening to episodes out of order because of the way the UI is setup.

On the listen now tab it only shows the most recent episode. In order to see previous unplayed episodes you have to go to library then select the podcast so you can see previous episodes. This is adding unnecessary steps to listening and I really hate it.

Is anyone else experiencing pain with the new podcast app?

Strange thing for me is how long it takes for my personal playlists to show up in the Library tab.

Also, I wish I could swipe to delete podcasts.

I was having the same issue. Then I realized if you go into a podcast shows settings they now have an option to play in sequential order. When I switch a show to that it appeared in the Listen Now tab as the next episode in order not the newest episode.

They should make it much clearer. Plus you have to manually go through each show to change it which can be a pain.

Thank you for this!

Not judging. Genuinely curious? Podcast apps on iOS are an embarrassment of riches. Why not Overcast, PocketCasts or Castro? All are actively developed and are built to suit every use case from super-simple to power user.

I use Overcast for my daily driver, but I'm not thrilled with how it looks. I *adore* Castro, but it's a little behind Overcast and PocketCasts when it comes to features. You can't go wrong with any of them though.

Hi all does the podcast app still jump episodes when you press FF or RW on a bluetooth device? I had to switch apps because I wanted to jump 15 seconds, 1 minute, etc.

Can you please submit a bug/radar asking for this modification?

Good Lord, yes.
This new podcasts app is a big step backward.
  1. Can't set to play in reverse order (oldest to newest) anymore (possibly broken in beta).
  2. Does not go onto the next in the series for me AT ALL. I have to go back in through the 4 layer menu and then scroll all the way to the place I left off.
  3. Keeps randomly playing other episodes after I've paused. Like, I'll pause and come back later and another episode from another cast will begin.
And one last thing:
Who decided that the Listen Now has to have the most recent? It used to show me the next episode in the cast (I may miss a week and keep them saved).
Not a fan. 3/10, debating going back to third party podcast app.
