According to my n00b error decoding thanks to the OS X Developer Library, the kernel panic occurred due to "Data Access" on CPU 0.

Enjoy your powerbook, you're lucky to have two memory slots available, 2 GB instead of just 1 makes a hell of a difference, I got mine 2 years ago, a 1.67 GHz and paid about 275 for it, good deal, still works, except that bloody memory slot which Apple refused to update the firmware for.

They are great machines, last you forever, those PPC processors just won't die, even when they run hot for a long long time.

Cheers

Hey SPJ Fan, I just bought a G4. She's not nearly as pretty as yours, hell you could say there are two sides to her and she has a screw loose but...aren't they beautiful (mine in theory)?

Belkin's F5D8013 N Wireless 300Mbps CardBus

What notebooks will the Belkin's F5D8013 N Wireless 300Mbps CardBus Notebook Adapter. Version 3 work in.
I have an ancient Powerbook G4 Ti that I was thinking of trying this card in.
Do you have the drivers?
Tried RAILINK site and went in circles trying to get Mac drivers to download
thx
Mark

I've had good success with Belkin's F5D8013 N Wireless 300Mbps CardBus Notebook Adapter. Version 3 of the card uses a RaLink chip, and drivers for the Mac are available on RaLink's website. Look for the file STA_RT2860D-1.2.2.0UI-3.0.0.0_2010_05_18.dmg, which contains drivers for 10.5, 10.4, and 10.3. I bought a couple for computers I was fixing up, and you should be able to get them for about $25. So far, they are working well.

Does anyone have drivers for the above card that Mike457 is talking about?

Go to this page, fill in a name and email at the bottom of the page, and download the file. Although the web page says it's for Windows, it's actually the DMG with the Mac drivers. It should work on any Powerbook that takes PCI bus cards. The file contains drivers for 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5

I do have the drivers if the download doesn't work.

Yeah I like that model of powerbook I just bought two 1.5ghz and one has 1.25ram and other has 1.5.I got mine both for $290 and they both seem to have been really well cared for as to what I see on ebay,I see a bunch of them with mangled cases around the disc drive messed up hinges and so on and so on but still some really nice ones too.

Well it turns out the adapter card slot was not plugged into the logic board.
Doh!
Works like a charm now except....
I have to reboot to get the card to work after sleeping the PB.
Mike thx for all the advice
