I received mine today.

Had to wait, because I wanted this colour.

Very nice.

I’m the OP

Bought both the Anker and the Belkin charging stations. I returned the Anker. It was not performing as expected, with quite a few complaints across Reddit about its charging performance.

The Belkin is much nicer, despite not having the cool display screen built into the stand. It does a great job of fast charging my phone, watch and AirPods Pro.

Anker customer support was horrific during the return process. They now use AI bots to communicate with customers and that resulted in multiple responses from the manufacturer that had nothing to do with the issues I was having with their product.

Hi :)
Does someone has experience with the portable 25W charger from Belkin?

This is also available as a 3 in 1 with support for the watch.
Both of these models don’t have an active cooling and I’m interested in the temperature while charging. Still a bit worried about my battery but thinking about to switch to Wireless charging with my 17 Pro.

There is this Apple exclusive version of the 3-in-1.
This time unlike the previous versions, the changes are more than cosmetic.
I like how the AirPods pad is rotatable, but the iPhone MagSafe loses the cooling fan?
And this costs a bit more than the original Belkin one.

That's ugly compared to what Belkin is offering standalone without Apple's help

Mine is still doing well. A great purchase. Better than that Anker crap.

I think I am going to follow you and get the original Beklin. To me the uprising metal arm is both better looking like you noted, and more practical since it raises the phone higher.

With the Anker I am skeptical with their overall quality, but the extra features in this 3-in-1 are actually quite awesome. A few days ago someone on reddit even opened a post saying the Anker one "wins flat":

I read that review. It's very thorough and very well done.

The Anker is going to be a gamble. It could very well work out for you. There have been a lot of complaints across Reddit about devices not charging at the promised speeds. This is the issue I had.

I think one thing working against Anker is that people have access to that real-time information being displayed on the screen.

Without a screen on the Belkin, I could visually see my Apple watch charging faster than it was on the Anker.

Another problem with Anker is its marketing and pricing. They held all these live events on their website, giving away gifts and promoting their PRIME lineup with discounts on already overpriced electronics. That charging station is selling discounted at $170, and some stores, like Best Buy are charging the full price of well over $200. That charging station is insanely priced for a product that was seemingly rushed to market and has received complaints about its charging capability.

Finally, the mess I had to go through with Anker in returning my charger was inexcusable to the point that I vowed never to buy another product from them again. I could have bought their new Prime power bank, but instead I went with INIU. I could have gone with their MagGo foldable charging station, but I ended up going with ESR.

I think you'll like the Belkin, but if you go with Anker, buy it off Amazon so you can take advantage of their no-hassle return policy. You don't want to deal with Anker directly.

What do people think of this one?

I am leaning towards this because I prefer the design which is less likely to result in the watch falling off due to a slight touch (the issue with the Anker design).

I also like the usb out so I can charge my magnetic battery.

If you like that style, go for it.

UGREEN is a good brand

My personal opinion it's not as aesthetically pleasing as the Belkin, but it does come in at a cheaper price point.

I think it has the best functionality. I don't like any style on this thread. My favorite design is the Anker Cube. I have two cubes currently. But looking to upgrade to QI2.2

nomads new 25w looks good

pricey and doesn't come with a brick

if anything the apple exclusive 2 in 1 Belkin 25w looks alright too. Comes with a 45w brick and I can always charge the AirPods after the watch is done

Has anyone compared the cooling properties of qi2 belkin Vs latest ESR 3-1 qi2 CryoBoost ? I am torn between those two. Belkin is more compact but ESR in general has better customer satisfaction from the reviews i checked….

TBH I don't think the cooling difference will be material. I would get whichever has a better design aesthetically. I am personally holding out for a QI2.2 cube design. I really love the Anker Cube.

Costco has a nice Belkin one that has good reviews-

I have it myself, it's good. Very lightweight and portable.

I do expect an explosion of Qi2 25w accessories to be announced at CES though. No Anker 25w power banks yet, but it's inevitable.

I ordered one when it was on sale for $55, and it probably strikes the best balance between product/value/support in the 25W segment at the current time. Even at the regular $69 price, it's still attractive, considering the regular Belkin models sold outside of Costco retail for $99. This one is a Costco-exclusive model with a square, not round pad, and differs only cosmetically.

The ESR 25W travel charger makes a good case for itself, since I believe it to be the sole travel product that has active (fan) cooling in the portable segment at this time. Which has proven to reduce temps in objective testing. But, $100 is a lot to ask from what is not a proven premium brand, yet. But that price does provide a MFW-certified watch puck.

Anker has a Qi 2.2 certified travel charger with a fan as well, but it has yet to hit the market. Considering it will be a part of their Prime line, and their current 15W charger is already $80, I wouldn't expect it to be cheap.

There are a lot of 25W v2.2 products in the pipeline, and hopefully as they appear, the competition will serve to temper the pricing. To have MFW certification, and now 25W, means spending at least $80.

The OP's Belkin desktop has yet to be discounted, except on TikTok, and Anker's half-baked desktop is only serving to support PT Barnum's case.

And hopefully, Costco will work out a deal for a 25W cube-style, or other desktop charger from one of these brands, like they've done in the past with Anker and Belkin tree-style stand.

I have this ESR travel charger and quite like it. The fan is whisper quiet, and can be switched off if you want.

I got it for $80 on BF from Amazon – right now you can get it for $80 direct from the ESR web site with a coupon code they give you on their home page. In the US, at least, they drop ship from Amazon, so fast shipping with no tariff surcharges to worry about.

But what made me an ESR fanboi is the way they handled a defective 3-in-1 desktop charger I bought on Amazon. On that model, the watch charger plugs in to a USB-C port on the charger body. On my charger, the USB-C port was dead. (Confirmed by testing with a known good cable, and then moving the watch charger to a known good USB-C port, where it worked.)

I contacted ESR on a Sunday, figuring I'd hear back in a day or two. Instead, I got a response that Sunday in a couple of hours. They asked me to do some simple, reasonable diagnostics (basically what I had already done). When I did them, and told ESR the item was definitely defective, they said "Fine, we'll ship you a new one, and you can keep the charger you have." True to their word, they immediately set up a shipment from Amazon, and I got the replacement the following Tuesday. Besides getting a brand new 3-in-1 charger, I have a free 2-in-1 charger that my wife is using.

Good to know.

I'm hedging now with the Belkin, and hope to see how the 2.2/25W market develops, including if Belkin and Anker drop their desktop stations to more sane pricing (as well as addressing the latter's bugs), and seeing what else comes to market following CES. Being a Costco purchase also provides some assurance if the thing conks out down the line.

I do have need for a travel charger, but prioritize spending the bigger bucks for a nicer desktop station.
