New Pricing from Rogers Oct.1 2008!

    I work for Rogers in Canada and i can confirm that Rogers will be announcing new iPhone 3G pricing starting Oct.1 2008. The plans are as follows:

    $60
    250 minutes
    Unl. Evenings/Weekends (9pm)
    Local MY5
    75 Text msg
    1GB data
    3 year
    Rogers & Fido WiFi hotspots
    Visual Voicemail
    3 Months Unl. Voice/Data

    $75
    400 minutes
    Unl. Evenings/Weekends (9pm)
    National MY5
    100 Text msg
    2GB data
    3 year
    Rogers & Fido WiFi hotspots
    Visual Voicemail
    3 Months Unl. Voice/Data

    Also, the $30/6GB data plan will be extended until September 30, 2008!

    very interesting. If true, good news for Canadian's!

    Edit: if I remember correctly, the current plans were pretty brutal... these (without looking) seem a little better :)

    Three months unlimited seems pretty cool, but three year contracts are terrible. Does anybody think an iPhone will even last 3 years with normal use?

    the current plans are inconsequential because you can use the iPhone on any voice plan, not just those prepackaged ones. I'm using the iPhone on my $25/month retentions plan with data blocked.
