new pro, very slow?

hi. i bought a pro 1.5 months ago. i haven't even filled it with any software or files, its almost empty, and still i'm experiencing a weird slowness. (re-size/save an image @preview takes almost a minute..). its been like this for over a week. what might be the problem?
hardware overview attached, please ask for other content screenshots if needed.

Your computer is new, it has a warranty, have you not thought of simply using said warranty?

It could be bad ram or a failing hard drive. Or anything else for that matter. Why don't you let Apple decide?
 
Agree with snaky; it most likely is either RAM or an HDD issue. Do you see a lot of beachballs? What is your paging activity like?
