New program to play all video files in quicktime!

However, with Flip4Mac and the other QuickTime codecs I have installed, I can play any [porn] format I want in any QuickTime-compatible app without touching VLC

Can you please post a list of all the QT Codecs you have installled....I have flip4mac and divx codecs in my computer. Also installed the perian bundle today. Quicktime & VLC between them are able to play almost all the video files I have. I still cannot play some WMV9 files.

VLC can give you the formats of the audio and video tracks. Under most circumstances, so too can the QuickTime Player. Your unplayable WMV9 files are probably DRMed. Nothing on the Mac plays DRMed Windows Media.

Well, actually, Windows Media Player for Mac does play some wmv. files which are not played elsewhere. I use it at the very last resort, although I must say it's been very rare since I installed flip4mac.

The files which don't work for me aren't DRMed. And WMP for Mac doesn't work either. These are WMV9 files in AVI containers. They used to work fine in the past when I had a Windows based machine.. Thanks for the replies though.
