new ram 3 beeps in a row, help, thanks

Just installed new ram ( http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-DDR3-...F8ZG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312742632&sr=8-1 )

and when i boot up the mac i get three beeps and a black screen... suggestions?

I have the imac 2011 quadcore i7...

Looks like you got the wrong type memory for the iMac. You should be using PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz. The reviews for the memory you bought are not good. If you want good and affordable memory then get it from OWC. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2011/DDR3_21.5_27

That indicates that the RAM did not pass testing. You can try removing the modules and inserting the old ones back to check that the new RAM you got is defective.

One more thing, make sure your Ram is seated. I had this problem also, I didn't push the Ram in enough.

It's correct RAM.
