New RAM getting rejected by MBP

MacBook Pro system

Existing RAM = DDR3 8500S

New RAM = Crucial DDR3 1600

Beeping noise when new RAM insert. Goes away the minute the RAM is removed.

Any ideas?

If it is an older MBP you will need PC3-8500, the newer RAM won't work
