Good for you. I'm quite open to buying a new MacBook Air 15, but not unless Apple increases its base stats.

Until then I'll continue using my 16 Intel pro. I've no intent to downgrade for a new computer. I want an improvement on my computer, not a downgrade. Especially not when paying $1300 USD.

The 15” Air should come with 16GB RAM standard. If they wanna gimp on storage, fine I don’t care but these days only 8GB of RAM is a tragedy.

And doing this would cost them almost nothing

It would enormously simplify things on the buying end also, if all the machines were the same other than color and storage choice.

That would make so much sense for the air line -- basically making them like iPads (pick size/color/storage -- done)

Apple KNOWS that they're short changing its customers. That's exactly their point.

What our point needs to be is enough protest that they're forced to increase the min specs to maintain sales. The fact they have to discount the 15 Air by 300 USD in order to sell them shows how important this is. This laptop is less than a year old and already they have to discount it by $300.
