Good morning all.

After watching the 4 min video of the new revamped Reminders app for iOS 13 here on MacRumours , I thought I’d give it a go. Now I’ve created 4 lists etc , however the options I’m presented with are really no different to iOS 12. Yes the layout is different , however when I create a list I get the colour option however no icons are there to assign to the individual lists. Likewise , when I’m creating the reminder at the bottom I’m getting the clock icon etc however again the location arrow & camera icon are greyed out , so these can’t be selected.

Now I have location for the reminders app switched on for when I use etc , so I’m not sure why I don’t have the icon & location options. Now MacRumours certainly does as they are showing these in the video. What am I doing wrong or are these known issues & bugs with the reminders app ?

I’m using current PB 5 on iPhone X

Cheers for any help.

Did you upgrade your file format? It is necessary for those features, but beware, it also means you won’t be able to share or sync with devices on the old format.

I see the same thing too; my guess is it's not fully complete/available yet. Same with the Health app; some data isn't up-to-date and still needs to catch up. I imagine these things will be complete as further betas are released or by the final version.

No, its complete and available. If I recall correctly, when i opened Reminders the first time in iOS 13 (or perhaps it was when I saved a reminder the first time), I was prompted as to whether I wanted to upgrade my existing reminders to the new file structure. As noted above, this was accompanied by a warning that if I did so, I needed to do so with my other devices also, or those reminders would not be accessible in those other devices. Once you do upgrade, you will get the enhanced Reminders features.

If you're not seeing the warning, that may be a bug and should be reported.

I really hope when iOS 13 is officially released, you have the option to upgrade reminders or not. We have an older Mac that the new version will not work with and I use reminders between my iPhone and Mac quite a bit.

Yep, I will report it now actually because I still don't see the upgrade button after updating to PB Beta 7. :(

This only works when creating a new list in iCloud, for example if you do this with outlook or gmail or an exchange account you won’t see the icons only the colours.
Ps even when creating the new lists in iCloud you need to scroll down when you see the initial colours to see the icons.
Hope this helps.
