New rMBP - SMC / EFI and 10.8.2 updates question

I picked up another rMB and it shipped with 10.8.

Going to ignore the EFI update.

Are the SMC and 10.8.2 updates safe to install without issues with throttling or other added bugs?

I would say no to the EFI. There are a lot of people (including myself) that get intermittant throttling. Resetting the SMC fixes it but it is a real pain. I would wait until apple release a new firmware.
