Does anyone know of any real good rock music/band coming out with a a new album this year?
I've heard that Airbourne, Demon Hunter, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and even though they are not rock but Flobots have new album coming out with a featured singer of Rise Against on a song.

Any news?

No one knows anything, so I guess rock bands are just as secretive as Apple in releasing new stuff...

Is anyone gonna help me find some good rock music or do I have to do this myself?

Slash solo album. Single features Andrew Stockdale from wolfmother.

I am not the guy from the Rock It Out! BLog...

There is this band called Four Year Strong who I think are just on the verge of making it big. They are releasing a new album tomorrow (March 9th) called Enemy of the World. The single can be found on lala, and is called It Must Really Suck to be Four Year Strong Right Now.

Wikipedia calls them melodic hardcore, which is basically a fancy term for pop punk with a tiny bit of screaming and a double bass drum pedal. They're really good!

Edit: I saw them a few weeks ago, and I can say that if you like groups of guys with SWEET beards, well then look no further...

This took me a few listens. Was a bit worried at first. But it's absolutely amazing. A departure from their previous outings but at the same time still in the same vein. I think there's a bit of Mali Music and Think Tank coming through. Albarn is a genius.

Standouts for me: Stylo, Superfast Jellyfish, Melancholy Hill, Rhinestone Eyes, and Empire Ants.

The video for Stylo is also fantastic. The cameo is hilarious.

Funeral for a Friend will be releasing a new album sometime this year. Their site is down right now, so I just get the news via Twitter. Their first two albums are in my all-time top ten...

New Stone Temple Pilots on May 25th.

New Black Keys on May 6th I believe.

I think I mentioned Slash's solo album on April 2 or 6th. Two of his songs feature Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge. This guy is unbelievable. I wonder why he didn't have an earlier music career.

Someone recently told me about a band called The Fratellis. They're, I don't know exactly how to describe them, but they're really cool. I'd recommend "Chelsea Dagger", "Henrietta", & "Creepin' Up The Backstairs", but really, anything by them is amazing. Billy Squire is another great musician.

Stone Temple Pilots and from what my buddy (wicked close to the band) has told me, brand new Soundgarden material. Yes, new Soundgarden material. With this, and seeing Pearl Jam on May 17th in Boston, this is going to be a great year (for me) for new music and concerts.

There's been so many good albums released already!

The Demon Hunter album is fantastic. Four Year Strong's 'Enemy of the World' is sweet, too. If you like pop punk, a band called The Wonder Years just released their new album called 'The Upsides' earlier this year...and it is just amazing. The lyrics are so heartfelt and down-to-earth...all of the band members are really great and I have to say that the album is my favorite this year so far. If you like experimental/showtunes/indie/AmandaPalmer, then you'll like her new side project called Evelyn Evelyn. It's pretty unique, dark, indie-ish, and I recommend everyone check it out.

Post-hardcore wise, Sleeping With Sirens album 'With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear' is a great record. The vocals are superb. Of Mice & Men's debut is a bit generic and all of the songs sound the same, but at least it's decent. Before Their Eyes released their new album called 'Untouchable' and has a ton of heavy stuff and also poppy, catchy stuff. Isles and Glaciers is a supergroup composed of several notable members from the scene...the album is very interesting and deserves a listen.

On the metal side, Veil of Maya's new album [id] is super technical and groovy. Dark Tranquillity's 'We Are the Void' is good melodic death metal.

Cancer Bats, Doe It Offend You, Yeah?, As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, Bring Me the Horizon, My Chemical Romance, Norma Jean are all planning to release new albums too. The Stone Temple Pilots album is also going to be out...I have high hopes for an awesome return record! I'm also hoping for a new Death Cab for Cutie album!
