I do agree that Apple should post a warning on the store and again on the box it comes in to warn all that the DLC can harm your watch.

Does this only apply to the space black band or to the silver Milanese band also?

Only the space black band utilizes the diamond like carbon coating, the regular stainless does not include DLC.
