New Santa Rosa MacBooks in Apple Stores?

There's always another update around the corner. If you keep waiting for it, you'll never buy one. It's not likely that an updated MacBook would appear at MWSF if it comes out now. Doubly so if MBPs are going to be updated then.

Just go ahead and buy it next week! :)
 
harumpf. I was so hoping for aluminium MacBooks. I'll wait to see what's released on Jan 15th then - and going by 9to5Mac and Thinksecret reports on the thin aluminium laptop, combined with this release, it looks like it'll be a UP MBP...
 
In case anyone was wondering, caught a screencap on edu pricing. They had the speeds at 2.2 when I just checked. I'd post it but it's too large
 
Sigh, £700 for a laptop that still can't burn a DVD. I think i'm just going to get a Windows laptop.
 
Hang on a sec..... how do we know it's not the new case design?????? All we know is the hardware spec.

EDIT - sorry i hit refresh and about 20 other posts happened after mine....... Forget what i said.
 
all nice and well, but no superdrive on the first model??? wt* even from 600 you can get a windows laptop with dvd burner, maybe for even less.
 
What i find most interesting on that Screenie is the fact that u can supposedly upgrade a Macbook pro to a 2,6ghz CPU :eek:? Does this mean new speed bumps for MBP are on their way?

Furthermore, i think its most likely, i mean the 2.2ghz 120GB SR Macbook has the same chipset just a different GFX and LCD. Does this account for the $ 700
difference?
 
Think it's a wise move having a lower spec black, but I also think they look crp.

Wonder if the pricing will remain the same/drop. If that's the case then I guess I'll be visiting a certain place next week. ;)
 
Not seeing it...

Just checked the apple store and it didn't show the new specs at all. Strange so many others saw it. Even cleared my cache and tried it again...nothing.

I'm a little disappointed we aren't seeing an aluminum MacBook but oh well I like the old (current) design just the same.
 
The new specs only appear when you compare specs of all the mac/macbook
