So my 16 Pro Max is a year and 4 months old and the body is in excellent condition but my screen has a couple hairline scratches and my Battery is getting old…

If I pay Apple to do it… would they? I thought I read somewhere that Apple only replace batteries under 80% or something like that.

I really love my 16 Pro Max… and like many here, nothing wow’d me about the 17 Pro Max and I expect the same for the next two new iPhones. So if I can refresh my phone while the parts are available.. I will do it

They will replace a battery if you pay for it.

Where they won't, is products where replacing the battery means replacing the whole unit (i.e. Apple Watch and some iPad models).

Your battery is still 91% capacity. I wouldn't bother with that. As to the screen, they won't mess with that unless the scratches are deep and actually affect the use of the display.

Yeah my Apple Watch battery health is horrible which is why I’m on the fence of buying another

Yeah… I cap my charging to 90% and it has worked out for the amount of charging cycles I have.. I’m a heavy user

My concern is if I wait another year… will the batteries be available… I have extreme doubts that Apple will convince me to buy another iPhone in the next year or two

You should have no problem getting a battery next year. However, if you want to give a go and see if thy change it now, no harm in trying.

I was still able to get replacement batteries for my iPhone 5 up until about 2019 I think. That's roughly 7 years after it was initially released.

As @Apple_Robert stated, you'll be fine.

Stop charging to 90%, it doesn’t really make much of a difference over a period of time. 91% battery is perfectly fine, just charge to 100% and enjoy your phone.

As for the screen I would try a matte glass screen protector first to see if that negates the micro scratches…. If they’re still noticeable and they bother you, then go for a replacement.

Replacing a battery at 91% is ridiculous. Just keep it. It’ll be available for years.
This.

You're looking at ~$350 for the screen and ~$100 for the battery. You could probably trade this in and get a 17pm for around that same amount out of pocket.
