Hi,
I had this option pop up, not sure why as my Mac is connected to the TV and it's the only display.
This icon in toolbar is always lightened up.
How to get rid of this stuff?
Thanks
This is problematic because it breaks sidecar (when you try to extend the display to the iPad, it stops "screen mirroring" to the main display, causing the monitor to freeze or go black). You can remove that from the menubar. It's in System Settings / Control Center / Screen Mirroring. If you set it to "Don't Show in Menu Bar", it will go away.

Thanks, but why does it show at all? and shows as "extended"?You can remove that from the menubar. It's in System Settings / Control Center / Screen Mirroring. If you set it to "Don't Show in Menu Bar", it will go away.

I have only one display connected via HDMI, so it's really odd.

Just reposting this here:
Please make sure that y'all report this to Apple so it hopefully gets fixed soon™.
I have the same issue with a single external display connected via DP to the Mac Studio.
What is your issue? Is it that the menubar icon appears or that you have a problem with the external display when connecting an iPad with Sidecar?
I believe it was 15.2 beta.I'm having a display issue that started with 15.2. Universal control to my iPad is intermittent. Sidecar works fine. My problem could be completely unrelated to that of this thread.
@Astrohunter, did your problem start with 15.2?
