So, after 1-1/2 years of drooling over these computers, I finally bought one for myself (very limited budget as I'm a virtually unemployed high school student). Anyway, I got it on eBay for about 700. It's a Core Duo 1.83 GHZ 512 RAM, 60GB HD...all the base specs for the 1st gens. The only fault with it is that there (as the ebay description said) is a small dot of ink in the middle of the screen. Even if I can't get it off it isn't a huge deal, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and found a solution that didn't damage the screen itself. (I've heard WD-40 works?) If you have any suggestions they would be much appreciated as well as any other tips for a new macbook owner. Thanks!

OMG, do you have any experience w/ WD 40? I would never use it on my lcd/ Also, are you sure that the ink dot is not a dead pixel?

Unless the pixels are shaped like a raptor claw, no. Any other ideas? (By the way, I have used WD-40 for lots of stuff, its amazing.)
Thanks for the input, though

I don't believe the suggestion was that WD 40 isn't amazing, just that it should probably come nowhere near your computer screen.
