I have had my macbook pro 13" for 1 month and I love it. Today my Speck SeeThru was delivered. I immediately thought "Holy **** this thing is bright!!!" I have watched videos on youtube etc and the case did not seem fluorescent but now I have it it is soooo bright!!! Is it supposed to be this way? Even the picture on speck's website does not seem bright like this.

The pics dont seem to show how bright it really is.

I think it looks cool! I'm thinking of purchasing one for a future MBP. Does it fit snuggly and does it cover the screen as well?

Is that the pink clear cover? it is an unfortunate shade of pepto bismol bright. The satin colors are much less intense to look at for whatever reason.

I have annotated an image for you

I would personally advise against getting the Speck case.
I got my See Thru Satin a week or so ago and the in addition to what iAlexG annotated in his photo. Mine creaks on when picked up on the bottom left corner, the battery indicator button is misaligned just enough for it to not work with a simple press. I got the red one and i can't seem to see the battery indicator lights. Lastly..the feet are not rubber but plastic. I would suggest waiting and get the incase. My girlfriend has the previous gen incase and it's a nice snug fit. It address all of iAlexG's comments on his photo, has rubber feet and it does not creek. I think it's better made.

Thanks kindly for that image! Interesting comments, the Speck case is quite pricy in my currency ($110 NZD!) so if not everyone thinks its good, I might hold off.

fungke: Is the Incase you're referring to the Incase Hardshell Case? I'm getting a 17" inch MBP and unfortunately I can't seem to find an Incase one for that size :(

incase doesn't make any cases for the 17" uMBP yet.
and speck only carries clear and black for it.

as for the speck case, kind of low quality photos here.
buuuuut, if it does look different than it's supposed to i would think of it as a good thing.
now you have a one of a kind speck case. maybe.
unless it's actually just how it's supposed to be.
or they made this same mistake twice.
which is probably likely since they mass produce these i'm guessing?

To the OP if you ditch that and go with something else you should really try the invisibleSHIELD it was a bitch to put on but it looks amazing! I can get some pics if you want. I really feel like it will protect it the same as any hard case from bumps and anything major and were all screwed.

id like some pictures. about to buy a macbook myself, and im debating on an invisible shield vs speck vs bodyguardz.

none, if the macbook was plastic/rubbery, you wouldnt have bought it

i had an invis on and took it off. now more than happy than ever

I tried to get close ups of the corners so you could see the edges. But the kit came with more pieces than I thought it would. I probably didn't do the best job putting it on. All I left off was the track pad cover. But it looks and feels great and I am the type of person to leave it on there so worth the money to me.

well i still want to protect it from scratches. you can scratch metals. id rather be safe than sorry, but the speck adding a full lb is kind of taking away from the whole portability.

Sorry for the late response...

I have the Speck SeeThru Satin, my girlfriend has the InCase hardshell, but she has the one that was made for the UMB so her kensington lock is blocked and the audio jack is covered a little.

I emailed speck a week ago and still no reply...anyone else experience bad customer service?
