Whoever gets this first please let me know if the headphone jack fits all headphones and if the lightning port is large enough to fit the 30-pin adapter.

Might want to read the info for the product itself.

Q. Is the Neo Hybrid case compatible with the Lightning to 30-Pin adapter?
A. No, the case and the lightning adapter will not be compatible. If you do need an adapter, we would suggest using the cable adapter instead.

So lets rephrase the request to include the 30pin cable adapter. I have both adapters and the cable one is thicker than the stock connector as well. I'd lie to hear from firsthand reports of owners rather than a generic marketing comment.

Just finished up a review of this case and I personally loved it! I think it is one of the best bumpers on the market. SGP Continues to make fantastic cases!

Apologies! Indeed you are right.. But still I would like to know if SGP fixed the headphone jack problem.

Please advise!

I am surprised I have not seen a review on this yet.

Here is an update on those of you waiting for the metal slate:

Thank you for your interest in our products! The Neo Hybrid EX Metal Slim in Slate is currently in production, but we have not received the product from our manufacturers at the moment. We are expecting the product within the next few weeks.

That was an email I received 2 days ago after inquiring about availability.

Initial slim case comparison

I just received my slim case today and wanted to post comparison photos for people. I ordered the Gunmetal slim version from Amazon and SGP sent it out the next day. It isn't available on Amazon Prime yet so you have to get it shipped directly from SGP. It was free shipping... ordered 12/4, arrived today using USPS 12/8. Not a bad wait.

Here's my opinion of the case...

* Case is noticeably less bulky and just feels better in the hand. The previous case always felt a little weird on the back because it was raised so much higher than the phone back.
* The buttons are darker, slightly smaller, and I find they have a better response than the previous version. They just looks less cheap. I still wish they were metal or metal-like, but it is still a welcomed change.
* The hole for the lightning port is smaller in both dimensions. I am guessing they had to do this since the case got much slimmer. Unfortunately, I don't think the 0.2 lightning adapter will fit this case. I don't have one so I can't try it, but I've heard the connector is bigger than the USB to lightning. The other lightning adapter definitely won't fit, just like the previous version of the case.
* The hole for the headphone jack is the same size as the previous version. You will need slim headphone plugs to fit this case (which I found the same problem with the apple bumper).
* Plastic frame is *very* thin, especially where the cut-outs are. Be very careful when taking the case on and off because I bet that plastic will break with the slightest force.
* Case doesn't fit much tighter than the previous version, but tight enough that it doesn't slip off the phone. I think it is just right. If it was any tighter, it would be hard to get the plastic frame around the phone and rubber piece.

If someone else gets this case and has the 0.2 lightning adapter cable, can you confirm that it fits with this case? I would like to order one but don't want to have to ship it back if it doesnt fit...

I have the exact same case as the pictures above and I can confirm that it doesn't fit, and there is not enough material to trim it away to make it fit.

I also got the Linear EX Slim Metal which so far I prefer. It also doesn't fit the 0.2m adapter, but it's closer and might be able to be trimmed. In general the fit on the EX Slim is better and it's way less bulky.

Doesn't look much slimmer

It can be the pics but I might have to thank you for saving me $35

Regardless, thanks for sharing with everyone

It's much slimmer. You don't have that god awful back lip that gave it that extra feel to the back. This is the slimiest it's going to get if you want a bumper that isn't a cheap one piece.

Exactly, that back lip was annoying. This one fits nice a symmetric. I can't possibly see how they could make something slimmer.

So the you can't cut a little off to get the 0.2 adapter to fit? Too bad! I guess I can just use the lightning to USB with a USB to 30 pin adapter.

Now, what photo do you want?

A picture showing the front screen facing the camera. How do you like the Gunmetal with the black iPhone?

USB to 30 pin? CN you show me this adapter?

It's not ideal. I'd much rather just use the apple converter that has the built in ADC. But pretty slick little cable setup if you need to hook to an old dock.

So on the Hybrid Ex Slim, it looks like the height might be okay fit the adapter cable, just not the width. You can't drimmel the width a little more to get the cable to fit? No way you can drimmel the height because there isn't enough material, but there is on the width way.

Ok, cool. I have already ordered that and their Bluetooth adapter. Hopefully one or both work satisfactorily.

Unfortunately it's not just the width but also the height that needs expanding. Someone very careful might be able to make it work, but as you can see there is very little material to work with.

Another option I've read is to sand down the adapter connector instead of the case. Seems like that is the solution a lot of other people do.

I'll post a front and back facing photo tomorrow. I really like the gunmetal. I think the buttons blend better and it gives the phone a little two tone color to it.

As for bring more or less flimsy... I didn't really think the original was bad. I just didn't like the lip in the back or the extra bulk. They feel about the same quality.

OP, it doesn't look like you have a glass screen protector on your phone from the pictures -- is that correct? I know Spigen says all of their cases work with the Glas.t(R), but I'm curious how this case looks with a glass SP.

That might be an option, but looking at the tear-down pictures, it sure doesn't look like there is much room there either. In the end, I'm trying to find a solution that allows me to use the regular lightning cable rather than modifying things.
