I had the Glas T on my iPhone 5, I dropped it from about 5 feet and it smashed both the protector and the screen.

It obviously depends on the surface you drop it on, mine was on concrete so that's probably why.

It is a great protector though, I'd definitely recommend it.

What's the point if your iPhone glass was not protected? AppleCare+ seems to be a better purchase.

I know with traditional screen protectors, if your screen has minor scratches it would hide them. Since this screen protector is glass, would that mean that any pre-existing scratches would still show since it's very clear?

If your Glas.T protected your screen from a drop that is bonus. Obviously not what it's designed for. Applecare is 5x the cost of one so it's not really a fair comparison.

Hey guys. :)

Deinstalled my glas.tR today and am going to send it back because it came with a rather big scratch which I noticed a little too late. Feeling and clarity is wonderful, though. I now ordered another one as replacement.
The first time, installation wasn't too good because I touched the sticky side and so a little lint got under it. Now since I wanna do it better this time, my question is: Where can I touch the glas.tR to properly align it without starting the sealing process? Last time I accidentally pushed it (luckily it was placed ok), so I don't know.

Lol man it's not that hard. I suggest you search YouTube for a video showing the installation. Cheers.

Yeah, I know how it's supposed to be done. I was just asking for info on how to best align it.

You bought a Glas.T for $20?!

For my 4S I did (around $23 actually). Reseller shop in local korea town with installation. For my iphone 5 I went with the bodyguardz pureglass for $20 after 50% discount. But it's still 5x as much for Applecare if you're going to actually use it for a repair/replacement due to a $50 deductible.

what i did was used latex gloves and a can of air for the dust at the second before installation.. The blue Nitrex gloves work great.. No issues with mine.. I'm using the yellow home button also..

Does anyone have the exact measurements of the glass.t.R ?

I have a TwigCase which goes over the bezel and bunches up my other screen protector. I need to know how much of the glass this covers, and can't find the exact measurements on their site.

TIA

I have this and it feels genuinely better than the naked screen.
Apple needs to use whatever oleo-phobic coating SGP put on this, as it's way more effective, for much, much longer, than the coating on the naked screen.

I installed mine, lint and dust free, but it's mis-aligned by a millimetre, which is mildly irritating.
I tweeted SGP, suggesting they could include an alignment aid, akin to the top half of a slider case, measured so that you simply rest the GLAS.tR against it for perfect alignment everytime.
I got no reply, so look out for it soon! :D

Yes, an installation template would be so helpful. These screen protectors are so expensive that a bad installation is a major disappointment. An installation template would certainly provide a distinct competitive advantage. It can't be too difficult to produce.
