Mid 2011 model. Hard drive finally giving up, so I bought a Samsung 860 EVO SSD.
Installed, and did a clean install of High Sierra. Came home yesterday, woke the computer from sleep, and it rebooted several times before booting to the login screen. Everything works great while I'm actually using the computer.
Today same thing happened upon waking the computer from sleep.
I later noticed that after it was asleep for a while, it would randomly reboot on it's own as well.
Everything works beautifully while I'm actively using it, the issue seems to only lie with the sleep/wake process.
Any ideas?

The 860 EVO has proven to be problematic for us. We've upgraded a few clients and have quickly gone back to the 850 EVO. The 850 EVO doesn't have the endurance of the 860 but I'm not sure that a Mac mini is going to do 150-300TBW in a 5 year span on a Mac mini.

We've been unable to create Fusion HD with any of the 860 EVO 2.5". We've also seen the sleep related issue you are seeing. This could all be due to firmware related issues as the 850 EVO firmware is mature. We've had great success with the 850 EVO and it remains our go to when upgrading client machines.
