I recently installed an OCZ Agility 3 with Lion on a mid-2010 MBP. While the boot is faster, it seems to suck in terms of benchmarks and Blackmagics speed test. I am lucky to see 100MB/s write and 130MB/s read. Are these speeds normal?

Using a SATA II SSD with the BlackMagic 2.1 Benchmark, that's about right. If you want to see a higher number, just use an older benchmark. BlackMagic's newest benchmark looks at the sustained transfer rates editors need. Not the unsustained results you often get due to caching.

If you want to see something more inline with the marketing materials try ZoneBench 2.0. Barefeets uses that as part of their testing.

I was playing with a few settings and was able to increase speeds to 140MB/s write, 200MB/s read. This was achieved after resetting PRAM and rebooting. The problem is whenever the laptop sleeps and then resumes, it goes back to the old 100/130.
