Hi Folks...very new user here.

Ive had my late 2012 Mini for years now , use it mainly for music recording and production.

I recently added a Crucial 250G SSD, which ws a little daunting but its all in and working, I then did a clean install OS and dragged across my music software, this all works fine.

I would like to know if I can get all of my favourite website with password etc onto the new SDD easily?

I also no longer get any audio from Youtube and such like?

Any help appreciated.

There is an application called “Migration Assistant” in the utilities folder in the Application folder.

You can also get to Utilities from the desktop, while in finder click on “Go” on the menu bar, and go down to Utilities.

The migration assistant will migrate all your users, users’ data, applications, documents, and settings from your old HDD to your Mac’s new SSD.

You just have to connect your old drive to you Mac, which there are countless ways to do that, from SATA to USB adapters, external enclosures, or even sticking the drive into another Mac and booting into Target Disk Mode, to name a few.

[doublepost=1563565318][/doublepost]Hi...thanks for the quick response!

The SSD is actually an addition to the the existing 1Tb standard drive, the thing is I don’t want everything to come across as it’s mainly to keep my music stuff fast, ..I would like to get my website favourites and passwords, what do I copy over for that?

Ok..so I used Migration and pulled across computer and network settings and that sorted my audio issue, but still need my web favourites ..

Bookmarked websites and passwords should synchronize with your user account across all devices (including a new install on this computer) if you were using iCloud Keychain. Have you tried using them to see if they're already there for you?

Hi, they don’t seem to be there no, if I open Safari I just get the basic page.

I’m not sure I’ve even pulled my user account across,, to be honest, as far as I know I’ve just done the OS, my DAW software and now computer and network settings.

Which folder exactly should I migrate for the user account info ?

Thanks !
