Little bit thicker than the SET.

I'm cool with the bulk though. The iPhone 5 is too thin for me to use without some added bulk.

Yes you can charge and use headphones. Um. Yeah.

I really like the feel of this case. They should make one with just the soft material without the metal bars. Such a good and soft feel overall. If they did it would be a bigger hit.

This feels way better than the candy shell grip. I won't use it again. This bonds case feels so nice on the hand.

Switcheasy must make this case without the metal bars.

Epic best iPhone case ever if they did.

Simple to take off. Degree of difficulty in line with other cases. I do think though its a case you don't wanna yank off 20 times a day. The metal bars may become goofy or loose. But who knows yet. Still so new.

thanks for the info, I'm thinking about getting the white or shadow black. Final question from me, have you tested if the flash flare is present in this case? I had the switch easy melt, which I loved, but had to give up because of flash flare.

I just tried the Bonds out. I love the feel of it in the hand and it has tactile button feedback. Sadly there are two major problems I found in this case:

- It does not cover the iPhone 5's chamfered edges, therefore leaving them susceptible to scratch and dust/dirt to collect around it. I would have liked for it to come over the glass a little or to at least cover the chamfered edges.

- It barely (if at all) has a lay on the table design.

I had such high hopes for this case and am sad to say I was left disappointed due to the two reasons above. If not for those two points, the case would have been perfect.

I just installed mine and I can see what you're talking about, but I actually approve of this design choice. It is aesthetically pleasing to me. Some dust will probably gather over time, but then that same dust would gather around the edges of the case regardless of the design.

The Gorilla Glass 2 used on this phone is pretty impressively hard. If it ever gets scratched at the chamfer, I would imagine the force required would have rendered the protection provided by any case irrelevant.

I'm a little unclear what you mean. The back of the case lays flat for me. If you place your iPhone face-down on a table, I agree that this case doesn't provide much clearance for the phone's glass surface. My old case bulged out a bit more on the face and left easily 1-2 mm of space between table and glass. The front edge of my Bonds case does come up from the glass a little bit, though. For me, it's just enough to keep the glass safe without occluding my fat fingers when swiping or touching UI elements at the edge of the screen.

I really like the Bonds case. It fits the phone very well, feels great in my hand, and is very attractive. The free screen protectors and are a plus. I will say the back protector not only seems superfluous, but also clouded when placed on the metal. Since I'm assuming they provide it mainly to protect the metal while it's in the case, I left it installed. It's not like anyone will see it anyway, so this really isn't an issue for me at all.

Note for the newbie: You might assume that the metal cage can snap on in both orientations. Actually, one is correct and the other isn't. You can tell which way is correct by noting that the clasp up by the mute switch is cut differently than its cousin on the opposite side of the metal cage.

Nice looking case, but very thick and weighs a ton. My car charger won't reach the slot and I have it raised.

I recently got this case and I'm loving it so far. The only flaw I've found is the headphone jack cutout is a little too small for plugging in bigger 3.5mm cords (ie: speakers).
