OS X has a built-in zoom function. "option apple +" zooms you in, "option apple -" takes you back out again.

Maybe try zooming out using these keys and try the uninstaller again. Sounds like MS has issued you some very bad software.

This is your first Mac right? Yikes, sorry about the problems. If you don't have much on there maybe back up and do a reinstall - it'll fix the problem and it would also let you clear up some space by choosing not to install a billion languages and printer drivers.

this is crazy!!!

i've sent microsoft an email too
let's see what they'll say

i shouldn't need to reinstall the whole OS because of a ****** mouse software
why i installed the damn software in the first place i don't know

any other options?

i tried grep microsoft from the terminal to see what microsoft stuff there is and delete it but it takes ages and no result

merry xmas people!

questions:

1. how can i take screenshots?

2. i am learning unix and i realised right away what a good tool it is.
i am thinking of using 'sudo' to 'chmod' access to all my files for group and others to nothing basically
but i am wondering if that will create conflicts with any programs or not????
anyone know?

Shift, Apple and 3 = shot of entire screen

Shift, Apple and 4 = mouse turns to cross hair so you can highlight any part of the screen to take a shot of

Shift, Apple and 4, then press Spacebar = cameramode, where you can automatically select aspects of the UI, ie just the dock, or an icon, or a file menu etc.

Or, you can just use the Grab application in Apps > Utilities.... its pretty ill.

ORRR, you can use grab from the services menu.
