does anybody know what the symbol is for in messages? Its the one that looks like a moon.
My guess is that it is meant to indicate the person has Do Not Disturb turned on.
i thought the same thing but they don't.
You have Do Not Disturb turned on for the message, not the global Do Not Disturb. Click on details when in a message and you will see an individual Do Not Disturb toggle - so you can mute the conversation
Maybe there is the message "Good night"?
that was it.
I didn't know this was an option, and I still don't see how to do it. Sorry, do you mind walking me through this? I can't find any "details" or options to click on when in the message view.
EDIT: Never mind. I just realized this is in the iOS 8 section. Sorry for the confusion.
That's pretty neat; I didn't know about that either.
Have a look at these screenshots on Apple's iOS8 Messages page - see the "Details" option in the top right hand corner?
Sorry about that, bucksaddle. I realized my mistake almost as soon as I posted. I'm not running iOS 8.
No problem - something to look forward to when it's released
