so what you're saying is...

software people = nerds
hardware people = geeks

??

what if u have cool toys AND can program in 3 different languages? ;)

Well, I just call 'em 'foo-foo' computers because they are really popular with the LA crowd. Hey, I have one so I guess any comments I make about them only reflect back on me!

Still, there's nothin cooler than a HD biker with a G4 Powerbook backpack strapped on.

If programming, or thinking about it, gives you a woody, you are a nerd, no matter how many cool toys you have. Geeks also have people skills, where nerds are usually the ones that stay inside 99% of the time.

I don't think you will ever see a nerd on a Harley, on a scooter, yets, but not a real motorcycle. :D Nerds also are not the ones to build kick-a$$ game computers...

lol... I'm still trying to figure out which category I fall into..

I'm think I'm in the "wannabe" category..

Don't forget the leather :D... half finger gloves, and cool sunglasses while riding.
