New ticking noises I think it's SSD time

Far beyond expected lifespan. Jun 09 b-day. I've been hammering it for the last 15months vs years of light use by a senior.

Yeah, ticking or clicking noises from HDDs are always a sign of impending failure.

What model of Mac was that drive in?

2009 13in ultra low spec MBP. The OS was upgraded a bridge too far with the base 2gigs of ram. No trade in value so a neighbor let me have at it. With max ram and an SSD this thing is perky in High Sierra.
