I have a brand new 2TB Time Capsule and it works fine. I can use it as a Time Machine back up for my Early 2015 rMPB and access the drive without error. However on my Mid 2011 iMac 21.5" I cannnot use the drive as a Time Machine back up. I cannot access the drive either. It will "connect" but when I click on the only folder it simply says "sharepoint" and when I try to use it as a time machine back up it fails. Any help here?

How is the disk being secured?

with the device password. I have tried with accounts and with a disk password and all 3 do not work on the iMac. Work fine on the macbook.

that does not help the error I am getting. I can see the TC under shared and even see the one folder called time machine. But i cannot access that folder and Time machine cannot connect to the TC drive but it is listed in available drives.

Sometimes connecting via a specific protocol will mount the drive properly.
