iPhone4S iOS 5.0.1(9A405) Firmware 1.0.13

This is my first apple device. I know little about Jailbreaks. Ultimately I want to Unlock the phone.
I'm confused with iDBs blog posts a lil.
I can't use this Absinthe JB at the moment if I want to unlock right?
Can I downgrade to 5.0 with iFaith?
And if I JB the device, there's no turning back? Will I be able to unlock in future still?
Any comments and advises are appriciated, thanks.

I'm a Windows user and have no access to Mac OS. Guess I can't use this new JB anyway. Who releases JB software for Windows?

Windows should come in a few days at most. We can still JB right now using VMware...but this is my firs iPhone and jb so I'm trying to figure out how

you cannot downgrade to 5.0. apple is only signing 5.0.1 right now

and there is no unlock for 5.x . might never be. the slim chance we are hearing now is if your a 5.0...then maybe one day.

jailbreaking your device now won't harm anything.
