New to Apple, need help Exchange email

Hi All

I am new to Apple and trying to set up my work email to my iPhone5S

i seriously battling, i have all the details from my office have put them all in correct and it keeps failing the verification. then keeps asking me for an exchange password (?) i put in my password and it tells me its incorrect!

the IT guy at my office also doesnt know what to do!!

anyone??

What exchange server are you using? Is it an internal one? Or an outsourced one (like outlook.com for example).

The trick for exchange I found is to set the username to <loginname>@domain.com - not your actual email address though.

So say you use outlook.com, your email address is something@nothing.com and your exchange login is user. In the exchange user field try putting user@nothing.com

the server i was given by by IT dept is owa.company.com

of course i am the first staff member to get an iphone but the guy in IT has connected the office iPad with the same settings and he is fine
