    Hello everyone I am new to Hackintosh. I currently have a MBP but I want a desktop for development, nothing really special...I just don't want to shell out(can't afford) $700-$2500 on a new Mac. So I decided to go Hackintosh. Here's the build I'm looking to go with;

    1.) GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L MoBo - $48.99

    2.) Intel Celeron E3400 2.6 Ghz - $49.99

    3.) KINGSTON 2GB RAM - $30.99

    4.) GIGABYTE GV-N84STC-512I Rev2.0 GeForce 8400 Graphics Card - $29.99

    5.) LITE-ON CD/DVD Burner - $20.99

    6.) Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS 500GB - $39.99

    7.) Antec BP550 Plus 550W Power Supply - $64.99

    8.) Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $54.99

    9.) Software - Mac OS 10.6, iBoot and Multibeast - Have

    Ok, so that's $340.92 (not including tax+shipping) Do I have everything? Is all this compatible? Do you think it will run OS X?

    On the fence
    It may run it, but I'd just buy a monitor, mouse and keyboard for your MBP. Pretty much any MBP would smoke that hackintosh build

    That's actually the setup I'm using now:D! However, my MBP is not current. It is a very early Uni-Body model(the first rev I think) which clocks @ 2Ghz, has 2gb of RAM, 160gb HDD(dev tools + apps on external boot drive) and has a NVVIDIA GeForce 9400M (which is only 256mb). Besides the specs, I would like support for 2-3 monitors(yes, I have looked at DualHead and TripleHead2go, just not for me) the graphics card on my build supports 1 VGA, 1 DVI and 1 HDMI also, the MoBo itself has a VGA 4 available DP's. Lastly, the MBP is the household's only computer so, my Father, Grammy and I flip around using it:D ,we use to have an Acer and a Dell but their both dead, Oh well.
