Hi all,
just persuaded my other half to invest in a2.4 ghz imac and i love it but i don't have a clue what i am doing!!
i used windows up to now....

it was a dream to set up, the internet was just there and enails were easy.
But i am using it as the host computer on a wireless network. My other computers on the network are pc andthey can't see the mac.
can anyone advise me what to do?
i wanted to transfer some stuff i had saved on the laptop over.

as i said earler the internet is fine so the connection is good.

please help,i don't know what i am doing!

i opened system prefs and then sharing but then don't know what you measn.

Hi. I would recommend for every Mac "newbie" good book that covers the basics and then some!

hi,bought the book. and it seems good, but still no luck.
i know the network works because the other pc can se each other but not the mac...
